Kazakh National Medical University stands out in the history of education, medicine, and the country as a whole. These are the traditions that have established the foundation of professionalism. The University, which was founded on science, teaching, and practice, is properly proud of its accomplishments. KazNMU's visiting card is its quality organization of training, scientific and clinical activities, high level of doctor qualification, and acknowledgment by the medical community.

The university's history began in 1930, with a single medical faculty. It is now a massive university complex with a one-of-a-kind infrastructure and a modern multi-level system for continuing medical worker training. Despite several challenges, the KazNMU personnel navigated a complex, innovative process.

The University has long differentiated itself by providing high-quality practical training to students, which is largely due to the presence of its own clinics, scientific advances, education, and partnership with practical health care. The University remains the frontrunner in medical education in Kazakhstan.

Asfendiyarov University provides 40 approved bachelor, master, resident, and PhD programs, with 14 bachelor's and 14 master's specialties. It consists of eight schools: Management faculty in public health, general medicine faculty, postgraduate, medical-prophylactic faculty, pediatrics faculty, pharmaceutical faculty, stomatological faculty, and therapeutic faculty.
